What do you get when you mix 3 little kids, 3 adults, a trail with many hills, lots of snow, lots of ice, and beautiful views? A ton of fun and adventure! Graham and I went along with Jenny, Kim, Katriauna, and Faith to the Lake Gertrude Trail today. It was so beautiful. On one side you see Lake Gertrude, on the other the Pacific Ocean. It took us about an hour and half start to finish but the kids were little troopers. We stopped half way for snacks and then continued on. Graham said he saw Swiper (from Dora the Explorer) and said, "Go away Swiper, no swiping!" We had a little bit of trouble on one hill when Kim and I couldnt make it down and both ended up sliding down on our bottoms with our kids on our lap(Jenny was smart she had Yak Traks on her boots so she didnt slip once). Graham screamed the entire time we were sliding down the hill. He said, "Mom, dont do that! Its too slippery, it scare me!"
But, it was so much fun. So nice to get fresh air and exercise. We ended the day with some coffee and a treat at Mill Bay Coffee shop. And, Grammie is napping as I type. A very nice day indeed.
